This 10-lesson scheme uses a free iOS app, Beatsurfing 2, that allows pupils to intuitively tap and glide the screen to play percussive and melodic sounds. Pupils will learn how to read and compose with a notation system alongside learning the musical features of contemporary genres including House, Hip Hop and Lo-fi.

Aligned with the national music curriculum objectives and model music curriculum for England, this slide-led and video driven scheme makes whole-class instrumental learning easy for any generally trained teacher to facilitate. It keeps pupils engaged, creative and confident as they perform, compose, and explore music together.
